600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 3,800 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 6 years to get that many views.
Yesterday, I wrote about the ones that were too new to tell or didn’t quite make the top 20 (or were flat out failures). Today: My 20 favorite books of 2012. These are the ones I most looked forward to reading, month in and month out, as well as a few graphic novels that really hit hard and stayed with me.

I'm Ekko. I read craploads of comics. I have them all over the house in boxes and bags, on the walls and in the sofa cushions.
I've been blogging since 2001 at Berkeley Place, but this site is just about comics. Mostly, it's about taking in-depth looks at entire runs by publishing a panel or two from every single issue.
Along the way, I’ll also have some other stuff—like top 10s.
I started with The Avengers, and expanded to the Fantastic Four. I have future plans to include other titles like The Secret Six, maybe Strangers In Paradise, Simonson's Thor....We'll see how long this keeps up.
